When KYC triggers
Three triggers: (1) first withdrawal above ~$1,000 equivalent, (2) any single withdrawal flagged by their risk system, (3) cumulative wagered volume above ~$1,000 lifetime. Smaller withdrawals on new accounts usually pass without KYC, but Roobet can request it at any time and will hold the withdrawal until completed.
Documents you need
Two documents minimum: (1) a government-issued photo ID β passport, driving licence, or national ID card; (2) a selfie holding the same document with a handwritten note that says 'Roobet' and today's date. Some accounts also get asked for proof of address (recent utility bill or bank statement, dated within 3 months) and source of funds for large balances.
How to pass first try (the practical checklist)
Photos in clear daylight, no flash, no glare. All four corners of the ID visible. Selfie shows your face fully (no sunglasses, no hat covering features), the ID held next to your face, and the handwritten note legible. Use the same name on the account as on the ID β nicknames or initials get rejected. If you live at a different address than on the ID, mention it proactively in the upload notes.
Common rejection reasons
Glare or shadow obscuring ID text. Selfie does not clearly match the ID photo. Name mismatch between account and ID. ID expired. Wrong document type (some countries' ID cards are not accepted β passport is the safest). VPN country mismatch with ID country (this is the biggest one for US players using VPNs).
How long KYC takes
Standard processing is 24 hours during EU business hours, 48-72 hours on weekends. Top-priority cases (VIP-tier accounts) clear within 4 hours. If you have not heard back in 72 hours, live chat usually escalates it within an hour.
KYC and US/restricted-region players
This is the friction point for players accessing Roobet from restricted regions. Roobet will reject a KYC submission where the ID country contradicts the IP/VPN history. If your account was created on a VPN to Canada but your passport is US, KYC will fail and the account will likely be closed under the geo-restriction clause. Players in restricted regions should consider this carefully before depositing significant amounts.
What happens after KYC passes
Once KYC is approved, all future withdrawals from that account process automatically without re-verification, as long as nothing material changes (new device, new IP region, new payment method). Roobet can re-request KYC at any time if your activity pattern changes β for example, a sudden 10x increase in deposit size.
